"My interest in photography started while recovering from breast cancer surgery in 2001. Nature has always been an important part of my life including the love of flower gardening. My early stages of recovery prevented working in the gardens, but I would still visit them to enjoy the flowers and small wildlife. Everything took on a deeper meaning for me as I thought of the many breast cancer patients undergoing treatments and recovery, and I wanted to find a way to use my photographs for their enjoyment. While learning to use our digital camera, photographing many flowers and creatures, it seemed a lot of people were interested and enjoyed the photographs. So I would like to share some of them with you in hopes that you will also find them enjoyable."
