ALEXANDER ROBERT JOHNSON 

     Alexander Robert Johnson is one of the most popular residents of 
Sherman district, Calhoun County, West Virginia. His whole life has 
been passed in this county, where he was born in September, 1858, his 
time given to the acquisition of knowledge and the maintenance of an 
honorable independence. He is the son of John H. and Mary (Huffman) 
Johnson, who settled in what is now Calhoun County in 1834. His 
postoffice address is Grantsville.
