ALLISON ROBINSON (Obituary from 1894)
Allison D. Robinson departed this life Oct. 23, 1894, aged 17 years, 7 months and 28
days. After a severe illness of about one week, he succumbed to the cruel had of death,
crossing over the river from whence no traveler hath ever returned, telling his friends he
was going home to heaven, requesting his parents and associates to meet him there. It is
sad to think of one dying so young, but death is no respector of persons, and we can only
exclaim in the language of the holy writ, "In the midst of life, we are in death." We can
but say to sorrowing friends, "Weep not, though he be dead yet he shall live again."
