Cathy (Sis) Stevens-Yeager, 65, of Grantsville, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center.
Surviving are three sons, Glenn, Bruce and Tim Cameron; one daughter, Brenda Cameron; three sisters; and two brothers.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Burial was in Lower Run Cemetery.

CLAY YEAGER
Clay O. Yeager, 86, of Grantsville, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Parkersburg Health
Care Center, Parkersburg.
He was born in Index, Gilmer County, the son of the late Charles E. (Bud) and Addie
Love Westfall Yeager. He was a retired farmer.
Suviving are five sone, Clay Yeager, Jr., of Grantsville, Charles Douglas Yeager of
Carlinville, Ill., Carson Yeager of Glenville, Larry Yeager of Steubenville, Ohio, and
Jim W. Yeager of Big Springs; three daughters, Addie Trisdale and Reita Kay Hamlet,
both of Gainesboro, Tenn., and Phyllis Kerby of Mt. Zion; 15 grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula B. Yeager, and one son, Kenny Yeager.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Rick Swearingen
officiating. Burial was in Yeager Cemetery, Index.

CHARLES YEARIAN
Charles E. “Eddie” Yearian, 48, of Chloe, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Roane General Hospital.
He was born at Orma, the son of Margaret Butler Yearian of Chloe and the late Charles Yearian.
Surviving in addition to his mother are three sisters, Nora Swisher of Chloe and Betty Fields and Valley Deel, both of Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perry and Dorothy Butler.
Services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. Gary Bowen officiating, and burial in Fairview Cemetery, Beech. Visitation will be on Thursday, noon until time of services, at the funeral home.

Beulah Yoak, 93, formerly of Calhoun County, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Barberton, Ohio.
She was the daughter of the late Roy and Ona Stalnaker Wease and adoptive daughter of the late John and Essie Gardner-Wysong.
Surviving are two daughters, Maxine Steele of Uhrichsville, Ohio, and Marilyn MacLean of Barberton, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Fannie Bennett, Violet Boice and Jean Thompson, and two sons, Ralph Yoak and Brian Yoak.
Services were held at Cox Funeral Home, Barberton. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery

DENVER YOAK
Denver R. (Ron) Yoak, 70, of Clarksburg, formerly of Big Bend, died Wednesday,
Dec. 25, 2002, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Clarksburg.
He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late John W. and Eva B. Richards
Yoak. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Alaska, and was a former
elementary school teacher in Ritchie and Roane counties.
Surviving are three brothers, Clifford Yoak of Parkersburg, Ralph Yoak of
Colorado and Herbert Yoak of Big Bend; and four sisters, Garnet Chernesky and
June Cunningham, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Betty McVaney of Clarksburg and
Beverly Robinson of Jonesboro, Ga.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Victor Yoak.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Randy Wilson
officiating. Burial was in Yoak Cemetery.

HAROLD R. YOAK
Harold R. Yoak, 88, of Parkersburg, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Worthington Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Grantsville, the son of the late Ira R. and Fannie Morris Yoak.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 in the South Pacific region as a chief pharmacist mate in the Medical Corps. His love of gospel music was a large part of his life from his youth on into his service days, where he formed quartets and other groups to sing for church services in the foreign countries where he was serving. He sang with his sister and two younger brothers in the Yoak Family Quartet for over 60 years, broadcasting over a Clarksburg radio station for several years and was a member of several quartets including the Osborne's, Mountaineer's and Servant's, and in many church and county choirs.
He was a well-known song leader, choir director and gospel music promoter in the Parkersburg, Clarksburg, Charleston and Belpre areas. He was a master of ceremonies of the West Virginia State Gospel Music Convention for 37 years and director at Mt. Nebo, Nicholas County, for several years.
He was a member of the Eureka Masonic Lodge 40 of Grantsville, where he received his 50-year pin in 1992, was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies of Wheeling, York Rite of Clarksburg and Nemesis Temple of Parkersburg.
He was retired from Consolidated Gas Transmission Corp. after 32 years of service. After retiring, he worked as a consultant for DuPont Co. Inc. for 15 years, in several area gas and oil companies and as a right of way purchaser for General Electric Co.
During his working years at Consolidated Gas, he attended night school at Mountain State College, where he earned a degree in business administration and a degree in accounting. Later as .a volunteer, he worked for 23 years for V.I.T.A helping the elderly and low income families with their income taxes. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Vienna.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Eileen Stevens Yoak; three grandchildren; four great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; three step-great-grandchildren; one brother; and several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Morris; four brothers; and three sisters.
Services were held at Fellowship Baptist Church, Vienna, with Rev. Jon Lands officiating. Entombment followed in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Arrangements by Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Memorials may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church, 1101 46th Street, Vienna, WV 26105.

NORMAN YOAK
Norman F. Yoak, 74, of Grantsville, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg.
He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Elias and Ollie Kight Yoak. He was a 1949 graduate of Calhoun County High School. After serving two years in the U.S. Marine Corps, he moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he worked for 29 years at White- Westinghouse and 10 years at Techneglas before retiring and returning home in 1996.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Leona Yoak; two sons, Greg Yoak and wife Jeni and David Yoak and wife Melissa; three grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Yoak and wife Dolores, Billie Joe Yoak and Ray Yoak and wife Madeline; four sisters, Grace Richards, Evadeen Kesler and husband Gordon, Edna Robinson and Hazel Tingler and husband Ray; and many nieces and nephews, including his personal nurse, Kaye Yoak.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial was in Maze Cemetery, Munday.

VIRGIE FAYE YOAK
Virgie Faye Yoak, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008.
She was the daughter of the late Oakie and Nellie Norman.
She worked for many years as a cafeteria worker in Green, Ohio.
Surviving are two daughters, Hazel Hyland and Jean Christner; four sons, William, David, Rod and Dan; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Bennett and Thelma Collins.
She was preceded in death in 1984 by her husband of 49 years, William Johnson Yoak, whom she married in 1935; two daughters, Martha Abernathy and Mary Summers; one grand-daughter, Cindy Summers; two sisters; and one brother.
Services were held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating.

Sharron L. Giar Yeager, 68, of Grantsville, died Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Leo and Geneva Paton Giar. She was a member of VFW Post 5959 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmy D. Yeager of Grantsville and William L. Yeager of Parkersburg; two daughters, April J. Tubbs of Sharon, Pa., and Sherrie L. Hardman of Parkersburg; two brothers, James Giar and wife Carol of Orma and Linden Giar and wife Elaine of Red Wing, Minn.; one sister, Patricia Stokes of New London, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Jimmy G. Yeager, Darren J. Yeager, Andre J. Yeager, Cheryl A. Yeager, Betty M. Yeager, Evan Tingler, Jr., Matthew Tingler, Alicia Nadells, Angel Carpec, Tony Carpec, Samantha Tubbs, and Liz LaCarmra; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Yeager; one sister, Judy Giar Yeaples; and two brothers, Hubert D. Mitchel and Billy Mitchel.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Kevin Church officiating. Burial was in Yeager/Westfall Cemetery, Lower Run.

Elva Yoak, 90, of Grantsville, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center.
She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Wattie and Dona Norman Yoak.
She was a graduate of Glenville State College where she earned a B.S. degree in education. She was a retired elementary school teacher in Calhoun County with 30 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Grantsville, and Calhoun County Senior Citizens. She had been a caretaker for F.F. and Nellie McCoy for many years.
Surviving are one half-brother, Arnold Yoak; two half-sisters, Betty Smith and Ruby Gene Godfrey; one step-sister, Eleanor Welch; and one step-brother, Kenneth Deulley.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Alva, Jack and Marvin Yoak; two sisters, Sarah Yoak and Mary Selmon; and one half-sister, Maxine Sults.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery, near Grantsville.

Loretta "Boots" Yoak, 54, of Big Bend, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003.
She was born in Big Bend, the daughter of the late Paul R. and Opal Snyder Smith. She was a member of God's House of Worship, Elizabeth, and was a homemaker and caretaker of the elderly.
Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Herbert Yoak; two daughters, Jennifer Yoak of Big Bend and Crystal Yoak of Charleston; one sister, Nancy Smith of Big Bend; one brother, Gerald "Pug" Smith of Grantsville; one grandson, Ryan Milliron; and one granddaughter, Jenna Milliron.
Services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Raymond Gumm officiating. Burial will be in Yoak Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

WAKEMAN - Barbara D. Yoder, 38, 1866 Wenz Road, Wakeman, formerly of Wayne County, died Friday morning, March 27, at her residence.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Westwood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Claude McComas officiating. Burial will be at East Union Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, or one hour pror to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Custer Funeral Home to defray the cost of the funeral.
She was born in 1953 in Calhoun County, W.Va. to Russell and Betty (Miller) Sampson and married Andy W. Yoder on Sept. 5, 1970 in Wooster. He survives.
She had attended Triway and Waynedale High Schools and moved to Indiana in 1970. In 1986 she moved to Wakeman.
She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Andy W. Yoder Jr., Michael W. and Susan M. all of the home and Mrs Tony ( Tina ) Billman of Portland, Ind.; three grandchildren; four brothers, Richard, Robert, Louis, and Gary Sampson, all of Wooster; and four sisters, Michelle Sampson and Mrs Denny ( Judy ) Messner, both of Wooster, Mrs Harvey ( Charlotte ) Keim of Spencer W. Va. and Mrs Noah ( Carolyn ) Yoder of Wakeman.

Delores Yost, 64, of Schroenbrun Healthcare, New Philadelphia, Ohio, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007. She was born in Mt. Zion, the daughter of the late Eddie and Ivory Summers Stout. She was employed for eight years by Gilford Instrument Laboratiores, Oberlin, Ohio, as an electronics technician. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Bernard Yost, whom she married Nov. 23, 1963; one son, Mike Yost of Sherrodsville, Ohio; one granddaughter; and one sister, Karen DeMoss of Spencer.She was preceded in death by two brothers. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home, Sherrodsville, with Rev. Carol McCartney officiating, and burial in Leavittsville Cemetery.

Zanie Richards Yost, 89, of Smithville, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at her home.
She was born at Big Springs, the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Modesitt Richards. She was a member of Chestnut Grove Methodist Church and owned and operated Yost Grocery, Big Springs, for many years.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Yost and wife Julie of Smithville, with whom she made her home, and Arthur Yost and wife Erma of Amesville, Ohio; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Yost; four brothers, Earl, Carl, J.C. and Charles Yost; two sisters, Mamie Frederick and Amy Ward; and two grandchildren, Arick and Mickel Yost.
Services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Thursday, July 22, 2 p.m., with Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial will be in Big Springs Cemetery. Visitation was scheduled Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m.

Nora Lou Young, 65, of Pomeroy, Ohio, died Monday, Mar. 1, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Ernest Roy and Flora B. Stemple Smith. She was a Methodist and had worked as a prep cook for several restaurants and nursing home facilities.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Young of Parkersburg and Barbara Collins of Belleville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, her caregiver Edith Barnhouse of Pomeroy and Pauline Smith; one brother, Roger Lee Smith; and several nieces and nephews, including caregiver Steve Barnhouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Young, Sr.; one son, Frank D. Young, Jr.; an infant brother, Charles Smith; and an infant sister, Thelma Smith.
Services were scheduled Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev. Glenn Rowe officiating, and burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
