A sad feature of her death was that her daughter, Mrs Emma J Coffield, preceded her to the grave just a week ago. Mrs Dowler was born in Marshall county, and resided there the greater portion of her life. Her husband pre-deceased her about twenty years age. Surviving Mrs Dowler are the following children: Mrs F E Plant, of Elm Grove; Mrs Winters, of Fulton; J N Dowler, of Mozart Hill; Mrs S C Roth, of Pittsburgh; Mrs L G Downing, of Warwood. Wheeling Register Monday, May 16, 1921 Sixty-Four Year Old Fulton Resident Loses Life Yesterday Morning The body of Samuel L Coffield was found in Wheeling Creek back of the Butchers' Association headquarters at Fulton yesterday morning at 11:30. Coffield, who was 64 years of age, is supposed to have fallen into the water which is particularly deep at that part, while walking along the bank early in the morning. Deceased was born in the lower part of West Virginia and came to this city thirty-four years ago. He had been a trusted employee of the F Schenk Sons and Company for over thirty years. He belonged to the AOUM and was a member of the Fulton M E church. Surviving are one son and a daughter, Mrs William Rapp. Services will be held from the late residence 242 National Road, Fulton, at 10 o'clock, Wednesday morning.
