Woodward County Last Will and Testament of Joshua Covalt Joshua Covalt of Woodward, County of Woodward Territory of Oklahoma, being in poor health, but of sound mind and sensible of the uncertainty of life, and desiring to make deposition of my property and while in sufficient health and strength do hereby make, publish and declare the following to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking and cancelling all other former wills by me at any time made. First: I direct the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses. Second: I give and devise to my son, Price Covalt, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00). Third: To my son Fleet Covalt, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00). Fourth: To my son Lee V. Covalt, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) Fifth: To my son William S. Covalt, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) Sixth: To my son James L. Covalt, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) Seventh: To my son John B. Covalt, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) Eighth: To my daughter Floanna Hathaway, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) Ninth: To my daughter, Mollie Huffman, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) Tenth: To my daughter Dora Hunt, I give the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) Eleventh: All the rest residue and remainter, I give real property consisting of a lease on the North-half (N1/2) of the School Section Thirty-Six (36) Township Twenty-five (25) North of Range Twenty-one (21) W.I.M. in Woodward County, Oklahoma Territory and all the rest residue and remainder of my personal property consisting of Nine (9) horses, Fourteen (14) cattle together with all farm implements, tools, crops, supplies, equipment and all goods and chattels of whatsoever nature belonging to me, I wish to have divided equally among my wife, Martha Covalt, and my three minor children, Zella Covalt, Everett Covalt and Jessie Covalt. I direct that my personal property and real property above described and such other additional property as may come into my possession up to the time of my death be kept in tact until my smallest child, Jessie Covalt, becomes of age and then my executors are hereby directed to sell said property and divide the proceeds equally among my said wife, Martha Covalt, and my said three children, Zella Covalt, Everett Covalt and Jessie Covalt, each to receive one-fourth of said property. Provided my executors are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to sell such of said property as may be necessary to pay my just debts promptly after my death. Provided, further, that in case my said wife, Martha Covalt, shall remarry or cease to be a widow at any time prior to my youngest child becoming of age, then and in that event she shall forfeit her right to said inheritance and I direct that said property be divided equally among my said three children, at the time and and under the circumstances above stated. Twelfth: I hereby appoint and assign my sons, Fleet Covalt and Price Covalt as joint executors without bond of this my last will and testament. In witness Whereof: I, Joshua Covalt, have to this my last willand testament, consisting of two sheets of paper, subscribe my name to this 17th day of June, A.D. 1907 Joshua Covalt Subscribed by Joshua Covalt in the presence of each of us, the undersigned, and in the presence of each other and at the same time declared by him to us to be his last will and testament; and we thereupon at the request of Joshua Covalt in his presence, and in the presence of each other signed our names hereto as witnesses this 17th day of June,A.D. 1907, at the residence of said Joshua Covalt on Section (36) Thirty-six, Township Twenty-five (25) North of Range Twenty-one (21) Woodward County, Oklahoma Territory.
