Our goal is to bring together those people who are interested in the history of Marshall County and in collecting and preserving this heritage.
A membership in the Marshall County Historical Society is $15.00 a year, payable on or before the Annual March Dinner Meeting. A LIFETIME membership is $150.00.
Meetings are generally held at 7:30 p.m. the third Monday of each month at 13th & Lockwood Avenue, Moundsville, WV. (Exceptions will be noted in the NEWS section.)
The Genealogy Committee conducts workshops periodically and a room at the building has been established for a Genealogy Library. The Library is open on Sundays from 1-3 p.m. and at other times by appointment only. Call 304-845-5996 or 304-845-3692.
The historical/genealogical research holdings of the Historical Society are available to members. The Genealogy Committee will perform research, obtain copies of deeds, etc., for a donation.
