County History of the Twentieth Century" written by Joseph D. Parriott.
This recently published spiral bound book begins with Mr. Parriott's
autobiography and continues with an interesting history of Marshall
County in the Twentieth Century. Some topics include descriptions of
farm and city life, transportation, religion, manufacturing concerns and
Penitentiary history. The book also contains a veterans section listing
all Marshall County soldiers killed during the four major wars of the
Twentieth Century. Mr. Parriott's book is priced at $25.00.
Reprint of "Historical Collections of Moundsville, West Virginia" by
J. H. Brantner. Originally published in 1947, this book includes "the
most important and interesting events in the history of the city from its
first settlement to the present (1946)". The hardbound reprint has been
indexed and is priced at $27.50.
