DEED BOOK MARSHALL CO., VA VOLUME 13, PAGE 384 1860 Frederica Misenhelter to deed for 1/7 Tract Samuel Misenhelter Know all men by these presents that I, Frederica Misenhelter, widow of Phillip Misenhelter, of Marion County, Illinois, for the consideration of two hundred and fourteen dollars and 28 cents paid to me, do hereby grant and bargain and sell all of my right title and interest, being the one seventh part of the following described tract of land, to Samuel Misenhelter of the county and state aforesaid, said land lying and being in the County of Marshall, State of Virginia being the same conveyed "to the Parties" to this deed and others be Benjamin McMechen and wife by deed dated the nineteenth day of January 1836 and recorded in the clerks office of Marshall County in Book One and on page 221 and described as follows. Beginning on the banks of of BOGG'S RUN thence North 12? E 8 poles to two Red Oaks, thence N 30? E 201 poles to a Black Oak, thence South 52? W 75 poles to an Ironwood, Beech and Red Oak, thence N 52? W 39 poles to a sugar tree, on the bank of a drain, thence S 70? W crossing a ridge 61 poles to a sugar tree in the head of a drain, thence S 75? W 22 poles double body'd poplar; thence down the drain with the meanders there of S 15 ? W 54 poles to a large poplar on the bank of the drain, thence down said drain with the meanders there of and bounding there on 100 poles to BOGG'S RUN thence up said Run with the meanders thereof and bringing them 101 poles to the beginnings, containing one hundred acres more or less. The one seventh of which being fourteen and 2/7 acres. To have and to hold the land, to wit, fourteen and 2/7 acres on the one seventh part of the whole 100 acres, free of incumbrance, in fee (Simple?), with all the privileges , rights ways and appurtenances belonging to wit unto the said Samuel Misenhelter and his heirs and assignees forever, the grantor hereby consenting with the grantee that she will forever warrant and defend the title there unto against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
