Frank was 37 and last resided Kalback, Hess, Germany as had John. Peter Klug who witness John wedding was married to Cathrerine Weigand. She is Barbara's Sister. John was executor of Peter's will 1878, and Catherine & family were next farm neigbor in 1880 USc. 1st Mass celebrate at St Joseph Parish was in 1851 by Father Mossblack. They were served by missionary for twenty years from Wheeling. Prisit came every three months and did Marriage, Baptist & celebrated Mass. In 1854 1st School was build. The 2nd school in the Diocese of Wheeling. Rectory was build and paid for by the people in 1872. 1st Resident Pastor was Father Theodore Vorman January 13, 1873 he remained for 10 years until 1881. he had been there missionary pastor for a 2 year. 1818 Three Catholic family lived in Wheeling. Father Maguire came from Pittsburgh. Wheeling was a Mission church. 1822 1st Catholic Church at Chapline & Eleveth St., land giving by Noah Zane to Father Maguire. 1st Pastor of old German Wheeling was Rev. James Hoerner.
