THE GRAVE OF THE UNKNOWN PRIEST
In 1952 a few members of the Holy Name Society of St. James Parish, along with Father Brady and Father Daley and Mr. John Shuetz, the custodian of Mount Calvary Cemetery reopened the grave. They felt their findings supportive of the tradition. And with sufficient information to warrant that, due respect and reverence was paid to his lonely grave. A cement wall was built around the grave and a celtic cross, carved out of white granite by a prisoner at the West Virginia State Penitentiary, was erected over the grave. Also placed in memory of this priest was a bronze plaque.
