Will of James A. Blake, 1836-1899

I, James A. Blake, being aware of the uncertainty of life and
the certainty of death, do make ordain and publish this my last
will and testament in the manner and form following.
1st  I hereby order and direct that my just debts and funeral
expenses be paid.
2nd  I hereby give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Teressa J.
Blake all my property of every kind, both personal property and
real estate for her use and support during her natural life time.
3rd  After the death of my beloved wife what remains of my
property is to be equally dived [divided] among my children.
4th  I hereby constitute and appoint my wife Teressa J. Blake my
executor and direct that no appraisement or sale of property be made.
	Witness my hand and seal, this 17th day of August, 1887.

Signed sealed published and declared by the testator James A. Blake
as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in
his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other
have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses, this 17th day of
August, 1887.

	A paper writing bearing date August 17, 1887 and purporting
to be the last will and testament of James A. Blake, dec’d, late
of Washington District, this county is this day partly proved
before me in my office upon the testimony of W.H.H. Showacre one
of the subscribing witnesses thereto.

A paper writing bearing date August 17th 1887 and purporting to
be the last will and testament of James A. Blake deceased late
of Washington District this county is this day fully proved
before me in my office upon the testimony of J. M. Turner one
of the subscribing witnesses thereto and is admitted to probate
and ordered to be recorded as and for the true last will and
testament of the said James A. Blake dec’d the testimony of
W.H.H. Showacre the other witness having been heretofore taken
and no bond being required Viz. Teressa J. Blake the Executrix
named in said will is granted leave to qualify as such Executrix
at the Expiration of thirty days from this date.
