Margaret Lillian Johnson Moore was born 2 Dec 1909 in Clarksburg, Harrison County, WV. She was the second of three children of John Franklin Johnson and Lillie Catherine Hess. John Franklin was the regional manager of the Singer Sewing Machine Company in Ohio, WV, and PA and he was stationed in Clarksburg at the time of her birth. J.      The family home was at 1011 7th Street, Moundsville. Margaret was a 1933 graduate of the Reynolds Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a lifetime resident of Moundsville and was a staff nurse at Reynolds Memorial Hospital until her untimely death in 1959 at the age of 50.
She was married to Clarence A. "Bud" Moore, whose parents ran a local bakery in Moundsville. She and Bud had three children, Clara Jane, Clarence A., Jr. and Jack Moore. Margaret and Bud are buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Moundsville in the Moore plot. (Arch Moore was Bud Moore's 2nd cousin. When Clara Jane was young she came to Washington to visit us and we went to the US House to see her cousin Arch before he became the infamous governor.) Jack Moore was the administrator of the Sistersville Hospital. Clarence A., Jr. is a pharmacist in Cartersville, GA, and Clara Jane lives in Phoenix, AZ).
My aunt Margaret and my mother (Eva Elizabeth Swann) were roommates in nursing school and my aunt introduced my mother to my father.
