Pauline Berry of S. Linwood Avenue, Pittsburgh, formerly of Moundsville, died Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at home. Born on August 11, 1898, in Glen Easton, Pauline was the daughter of the late James A. and Sarah H. Bonar. A 1923 graduate of Reynolds Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, she was employed by the Marshall County Board of Education as a school nurse, as a nurse with Fostoria Glass and a staff nurse with Reynolds Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1974. Pauline was recently honored at a Nurses’ Tea during Reynolds Memorial Hospital’s 100 year celebration. She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church and the Crafton Methodist Church, Crafton, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John N. Berry, in 1963; a son, Robert Berry, in 1980; a grandson; three brothers; and three sisters.
Surviving are a daughter, Roberta Clayton, of Pittsburgh; ten grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Friday, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. William Calhoun officiating. Interment follows in Riverview Cemetery.
