Ruby Conner Albertson

     A Memorial Mass for Ruby L. Albertson, a retired Denver nurse will be at 10 am Wednesday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 845 Fairfax St. She donated her body to medical science.
     Mrs. Albertson died Feb. 25, in Berkeley Manor Care Center. She was 85.
     She was born Sept 6, 1897 in Charleston, W.Va. She graduated from nurses training at Charleston General Hospital in 1921. She then served as an Army nurse until 1923 when she was given a disability discharge.
     She was a life member of the DAV. Her education included a BS degree in nursing education from the University of Denver in 1953 and a public health nurse certificate from the University or Oregon in 1943. In 1966 she received a certificate in non fiction writing from the Famous Writers School.
     She was certified as a nurse in Colorado in 1924. She served as a visiting nurse with the Denver Visiting Nurse Association in 1943 and retired in the late 1960s.
     She married Harold M Jobes on July 1, 1926 in Castle Rock; he died in 1933. She married George H. Albertson on May 20, 1950 in Raton, N.M. He died April 5, 1976.
     Mrs Albertson is survived by a brother, retired Navy Rear Adm. Ray R. Conner of LaJolla, California.
