HAZEN POST 66 W.VA. G.A.R. January 8th. 1894 At a call Meeting of the Hazen Post No. 66 G.A.R. Department of West Virginia, January 8th. 1894 the following resolutions were passed. Whereas it has pleased the Almighty God in the dispensation of his providence to remove from our midst by death our comrade Abraham Cotton who departed this life Jan. 6th. 1894. Whereas by the death of our worthy Comrade the Post has lost an efficient officer and a faithful comrade, the family of the deceased a loving husband and an affectionate father. Resolved that in token of the high esteem and kind regard held by the Post for our deceased Comrade our flag be draped in mourning for the period of thirty days and that these resolutions be spread on the minutes of Post and a copy thereof be forwarded to the widow and family of our deceased comrade.
