Submitted to the Pleasants County WVGenWeb page by Dean Gregg (GREGTAVERN@aol.com). At least 3 members of the early Greene County, Pa family of Craven Gregg and Catherine Stewart Gregg, moved into the area of Pleasants and Ritchie Co, WVa after the civil war. They appear to have stopped on the way and were in Tyler Co and Wetzel County before finally settling in Pleasants or Ritchie Counties. 9 Mile Cemetery is the final resting place for Catherine Stewart Gregg. My direct line was, Samuel Gregg, who settled on land off route 16 over the Pleasants Co border in Ritchie Co, near Finch, but actual land near the Mt Olivet Church. Samuel a Civil War vet for West Virginia and his wife, Eliza Hickman, are buried at the Mt Olivet Cemetery.
