Mt. Olive school was located on a hill in back of Belmont, W.Va., and to the north of McElroy Run. It could be reached by a road from Eureka, W.Va. Because of declining attendence, this school was closed around 1912, and later dismantled and reconstructed at Gahaka in Pleasants Co. Gahaka is located where Sled Run flows into Cow Creek. The building was later sold and used as a home.
