Name of County: Pleasants Date of Will: December 16, 1871 Testator: WILLIAM INGHRAM Book 1, pages 49 Last Will and Testament of William Inghram I William Inghram of Pleasants County and State of West Virginia being of sound mind and knowing the uncertainty of life and being desirous of arrangeing and disposing of all my worldly affairs do make and publish this my will and desire that all my just debts & funeral expenses be first paid. First I will and bequeath to John W. Inghram my son One dollar he having received money from me before this date which I release him from the payment of. 2nd I give and bequeath my daughter Roda Thompson Sixty dollars. 3rd I give and bequeath to my son Abraham W. Inghram One dollar 4th I will and bequeath to my son William Inghram Jr. One dollar. 5th I will and bequeath to my daughter Elisabeth Gibboney the colt which my black mare Marge is now in "fold" of 6th I give and bequeath to my daughter Roda Inghram One dollar. 7th I give and bequeath to my daughter Judice Outward One dollar. 8th I give and bequeath to John Alexander Goff Inghram son of William & Mary Inghram fifty acres of land to be land off the lower end of my tract of land beginning at a Hickory corner to William Outward and my land running there is a course that will intersect an apple tree marked (A) in the lower Orchard thence running to a Butternut on the bank of the -- below the house. Thence a course in a strait line to my b--- line on crooked run so as to include fifty acres in said lower end. The said John Alexander Goff Inghram is to --- to Stephen A. (third son of William & Mary Inghram) when he (the said Stephen A) arrives to the age of twenty one years the sum of seventy five dollars in cash and this ("shod" be a lein upon?) the said land so bequeathed to the said John A. G. Inghram as aforesaid. 9th I will and bequeath to William Francis Inghram son of William and Mary Inghram the residue of my land commencing at the aforesaid Apple tree marked (A) and running by the aforesaid course so as to include the residue of my land. He the aforesaid William Francis is to pay to Stephen A. (third son of William and Mary Inghram) the sum of One hundred dollars when he the said Stephen arrives at the age of twenty one years and the said payment is directed shall be a lein on the land so bequeathed to the said William Francis. 10th I will and bequeath unto Robert Lee and Albert G. Inghram sons of William and Mary Inghram one bay mare named Dolly but if there --- mare should have and raise the colt which she is (the rest is illegible but seems to pertain to the colt) 11th I will and bequeath to the aforesaid William Francis and John Alexander Goff Inghram two calves that I now own to be used by them to pay the taxes that may be levied on the land herein before bequeathed to them. It is my will and desire that the bequests heretofore made to John W. Inghram, Rhoda Thompson, Abraham W. Inghram, Rachel Inghram, William Inghram Jr., and Judice Outward shall be paid out of the products of the land heretofore devised to the said William Francis and John Alexander Goff Inghram the bequests to Rhoda Thompson to be paid in three yearly installments of Twenty dollars each. Lastly, it is my will and desire that all of debts and funeral expenses, and if any surplus should be left I will and bequeath it to my daughter Elizabeth Gibbony and it is my desire that my son William Inghram Jr and Abraham W. Inghram act as executor of this my last will and testament and I hereby revoke any and all wills heretofore made by me. In witness whereof I have this day affixed my hand and seal December 16th 1871.
