HOLLLAND I, Rufus H. Holland of Pleasants County and State of West Virginia, being of sound mind and discerning memory desireing to make some disposition of my Earthly possessions with which God has blessed me, do make this my last will and testament as follows to wit: It is my will and desire that my son William V. Holland shall have all my property real and personal except such amount as my executor hereinafter mentioned may find necessary to pay my funeral expenses whic I hereby require him to do, and if my executor shall desire to pay over the moneys thus comeing into his hands before my son William V. Holland shall be twenty-one years of age. I hereby authorize him to pay it to Morris Bishop of Desmoine County Iowa who is his Legan Gardian, but if my executor desire he may hold the moneys in his own hands until he is twenty one years of age and if my son William V. Holland should die before he is twenty-one years of age, I hereby require my executor to pay the moneys to the board of foreign missions of the Methodist Protestant Church for to aid in spreading the Gospel of Christ among the Heathen. And lastly I do hereby constitute & appoint my Brother Isaac Holland executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made. Signed in presents of the undersigned as the last will of Rufus H. Holland Silas McGregor Thomas Weekley A. S. Gorrell Recorder's Office Pleasants County September 14th 1865. The last will and testament of Rufus H. Holland Decd was presented in the Office Aforesaid on the 11 day of July 1865 and fully proved that at the time Rufus Holland was of sound mind and disposong memory by the oaths of A. S. Gorrell subscribing witnesses thereto whereupon the same is admitted to record having Revenue Stamps thereon fifty cents which was cancelled. Teste: Josiah Powell Recorder of P. C.
