Name of County: Pleasants Date of Will: July 8, 1884 Testator: CATHARINE STEED Book 1, pages 93 Catharine Steed Last Will and Testament In the name of the benevolent Father of All, Amen. I Catharine Steed being of mature age and of sound mind do make and declare the following to be my last Will and Testament by me made for the reasons hereinafter by me declared viz: I give and bequeath to C. C. Northcraft and by these presents assign transfer and release to him all my right interest and claim to and in five(?) notes of hand calling for Thirty-Three dollars each and coming due annually and made payable to Catharine Steed or order and signed by Thornton Hugus(Hughes?) and Orpheus Morgan and now in the hands of B. S. Morgan Esqr. Also I give and bequeath to said C. C. Northcraft at my decease all my goods, moneys and affects of whatever kind it may be for his care and keeping me during my natural lifetime. I hereby nominate and appoint C. C. Northcraft my legal executor impower- ing him to settle, collect, and receive all monies and claims due me from any - all persons whatsoever to keep and hold and expend the same for his own use and benefit as "knead" may require. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of July 1884. This Last Will and Testament of Catharine Steed deceased was this day duly proven upon the Oaths of Thomas Way and Mary J. Northcraft the two subscribing witnesses thereto, and then being no objection made to the probate of said Will the same as probated and ordered to be recorded. Teste J. L.
