Pleasants County, West Virginia - Will of Benjamin Willard Name of County: Pleasants Date of Will: September 26, 1854 Testator: BENJAMIN WILLARD Date of Probate: April, 1857 To Clarrissa, a female slave, her freedom and an annuity of $25 during her natural life, unless by her decision she lives with a daughter, who in that case will take care of her in sickness and health. To George and Charles Willard, and Ann and Belle, two servants, the sum of five hundred dollars each. To Abigail Wood, of Littleton, Mass., one hundred dollars, and the charge of the estate with her maintenance and support in the event of her husband's death, and electing to spend the residence of her days here. To Benjamin Willard, one hundred dollars for education. To Julia G. H. Fracker(?) and Maria A. Johnson all remaining property, to be held in trust by executors. To the Executors the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to be divided in equal shares out of the proceeds of any portion of the estate, exclusive of such fair and just commission as may be allowed them by the court.
