The record indicates she had lived there in 1935, at which time she would have been a student.

Dozens of news articles in the 1950s & 1960s indicate that "Miss Margaret Carlos of Pittsburgh" visited her family on Penn Street, New Bethlehem, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. They never mention her profession.

Margaret P. Carlos, Nurse, is listed in the Pittsburgh City Directories for 1955 and 1957, at which times her address was Centre Avenue.

It is known that a "Miss Margaret Carlos" established the Physical Therapy Department at Presbyterian Hospital. As it turns out, St. Francis graduate, Margaret Carlos was that person, and she became a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Margaret P. Carlos was born on May 15, 1909 to John Carlos, born in Ireland, and Mary Monica Murphy, born in Freeport, Pennsylvania. The family lived on Penn Street, New Bethlehem, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.

At the time of the 1910 census, Margaret P. was an infant. Her older siblings were James J., Mary, Anna Belle, Thomas, Alfonso, Tressa.

In 1920, the children in the home were Mary J., Anna, Tom, Alphonsus, Tresa, Margaret, Helen, Martina, and twins, Mart and John.

By 1930, the children at home were Tom P., Alphon, Margaret, Helen, and twins, Jack E. and Martin E. The father was a railroad foreman.

Margaret's mother died in 1945, and her father in 1951.

The death of Margaret P. "Peg" Carlos occurred on January 12, 1994; last residence Fairview, Erie County. She is buried at Saint Charles Cemetery, New Bethlehem, Clarion County. A number of her immediate family are interred there.
