As indicated, the family had moved to Cambria County from Indiana County after 1935. They were found in East Wheatfield, Indiana County in the 1930 Census.

The 1940 census, above, was enumerated in April 1940. On July 15, 1940, Mr. Frank Chileski was asphyxiated by an accidental gas explosion at the Sonman coal mine, Portage Township, Cambria County, owned by Koppers Coal Company. Known as the "1940 Sonman Mine Disaster," 63 men lost their lives.

Following his death, the family lived in the Falls Creek area, near DuBois. Mr. Cheleski had been born in Brookville, Jefferson County, and he is buried not far away, at Saint Michaels Cemetery, DuBois.

The bridesmaid mentioned, Aurora Constantini, was also a graduate of the St. Francis Class of 1950-A.

The Evening Standard Uniontown, Pa., Oct 9, 1962 (excerpt) - "Speakers for the morning session on "Cardia Emergencies" will be Dr. Jerold R. Ruben, internist at Washington Hospital, and MRS. IRENE KENDRICK, member of the faculty at the Washington Hospital School of Nursing and Nursing Services."

Born November 6, 1929, John Kendrick died on April 22, 1987. He is buried at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, McMurray, Washington County, Pennsylvania.

Irene's widowed mother, Mary Chileski, born in 1902, died on September 12, 1994. She had continued to live in the Falls Creek area.
