MARGARET ELIZABETH CLINE HARRIS

While a student nurse at St. Francis, Margaret participated in the U. S., World War II Cadet Nursing Corps. On her membership card she said her home address was Seattle, Washington, but that she had lived in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania during the ten preceding years. She said her father was Frank Blair Cline, an aircraft mechanic.

Mildred was born on July 11, 1925 in Pennsylvania to Frank Blair Cline and Leota Carolyn Huselton. At the time of the 1930 Federal Census of Leechburg Borough, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, Frank B. Cline, a roller in the steel mill, and his wife, Leota, had the following children: Catherine J., 14, Janet M., 11, Bobby C., 7, Margaret E., 4, and Donajean, almost 1.

In 1940, the family lived on Fifth Street in Freeport Borough, Armstrong County, and Frank was still a roller at the steel mill. The children were Robert, Margaret E., Donna Jean, Lois, and Phyllis.

In Richmond, Virginia, on December 29, 1949, Margaret Elizabeth Cline married Herbert Leroy Harris. The marriage record indicates that Margaret Elizabeth Cline, Nurse, born in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, a resident of Richmond, was the daughter of Frank B. Cline and Leota Huselton. Her husband was an Optician, born in Macon, North Carolina, and he, too, lived in Richmond.

Frank Cline, born February 14, 1896, died in May 1970. His wife, born July 31, 1892, died September 1981 in Blair, Washington County, Nebraska.

Margaret Elizabeth Cline Harris, born July 11, 1925, died May 22, 2011; last residence Richmond; Bon Air, Chesterfield County, Virginia.
