OBITUARY

Mary Joan Merriman, R.N., of Reynoldsburg, formerly of Bradford, Pa. and Wilmington, De., died Thursday, October 10, 1996 at her apartment in Reynoldsburg, Oh. of Heart Failure.

A graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the Director of Nurses at Parkview Medical Center in Wilmington, De. prior to retiring in August 1987. She was a U.S. Army veteran, having achieved the rank of 2nd Lt. and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

She had recently become an active member of the Seniors Group at St. Pius X Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Margie Figun of Conshohocken, Pa., Marcy Sheets of Winston-Salem, N.C., Judy (Mike) Burris and Lisa (Mark) Iannotta of Westerville, Oh.; son, Don (Monica) Merriman of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Mark, Joanne, Todd, Nikki, Ryan, Brandon, Brent, Michelle and Stephen; brothers, Frank and James (Betty) Colligan of Bradford, Pa. and Tom (Pat) Colligan of Middletown, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; friend, Patti Decker of Conshohocken, Pa.

A private service for the immediate family was held at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated by Fr. David Gwimmer, 10 a.m. Monday, October 14,1996 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1061 S. Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Merriman had asked that donations be made to the Leukemia Society of America, in her memory.
