MARY A. COLLINS was the aunt of CLARA BURGOON, a graduate of the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1927.

Mary Anna and her sister, Edith Collins Burgoon, were the daughters of Irish immigrants John L. Collins and Elizabeth E. Ryan. Mary Anna, born October 20, 1885, in Chicora, Pennsylvania, never married. She is listed among the St. Francis Private Duty Nurses in this 1953 publication.

Mary died February 21, 1954 at Butler County Memorial Hospital, Butler County, Pennsylvania. Her death certificate states that she was a "Registered Nurse, St. Francis Hosp." She is buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery, North Oakland, Pennsylvania.
