Daily Courier (Connellsville, PA), Sep 27, 1950 -- "Jane DeOre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony DeOre, spent the week-end with her parents and sister, Philomena. Jane is a student nurse a St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh, and expects to graduate June 5 and become a registered nurse."

Jane DeOre married John L. Varriano on August 28, 1954 at Immaculate Conception R. C. Church in Connellsville.

MOTHER'S OBITUARY: Margaret A. DeOre, 97, of Connellsville, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, in Country Haven Rest Home. Born March 29, 1911, in Dunbar, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Ann Tomaro Speeney. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and the Ladies Lodge of the Sons of Italy. She is survived by two children, Mena Patrick and Jane Varrano and husband, John, both of Connellsville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony DeOre. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the RICHARD KUCERA FUNERAL HOME, 127 E. Fairview Ave., Connellsville, with Father Robert Lubic officiating. HUSBAND'S OBITUARY: John L. Varriano, 81, of Connellsville, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Excela Health Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born March 24, 1927, in Dunbar. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, a graduate of Duquesne University and a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Rockwell International. He is survived by his wife, Jane (De Ore) Varriano; children, John A. (Karla) Varriano, of Memphis, Tenn., Rhea (Mohammed) Boudaoud, of Stafford, Va., and Mary Ann (Robert) Kelleher, of Pittsburgh; sister, Anna Varriano, of San Diego, Calif.; sister-in-law, Philomena Patrick, of Connellsville; and grandchildren, Sofia, John and Louis Varriano, Adam and Ben Boudaoud and Luk Kelleher. There is no public visitation. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Father Dennis Bogusz as celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Connellsville. Arrangements conducted by RICHARD KUCERA FUNERAL HOME, 127 E.
