HUSBAND'S OBITUARY: Samuel Frank Talarico, formerly of Springdale, went peacefully to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, in his home. He was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Oakmont. He was of the Catholic faith. He was an Army captain during the Korean War. After serving, he attended the University of Pittsburgh and earned a business degree. He went on to Duquesne University to earn his degree as a pharmacist. Sam owned and operated the Springdale Pharmacy for almost 40 years. He was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America, Integrity Lodge, Kiwanis, Springdale Businessmen's Association and Lions Club. Survivors include his two daughters, Diane Louise (Gregory Gould), of Springdale, and Evelyn Jane (Anthony Graziani), of Butler; nephew, Todd Talarico, of Texas, niece, Jennifer Talarico, of North Carolina; and four grandchildren, Joseph Samuel Gould, Sara Elizabeth Gould, Anthony Samuel Graziani, and Samantha Rosalie Graziani. Preceding him in death were his wife, Betty Talarico; son, James Samuel Talarico; brother, Peter Talarico; and parents, Evelyn and Camille Talarico, of Oakmont. A private service was held in Jupiter, Fla. Condolences may be expressed by donating to the Lower Valley Community Food Bank at the Springdale Borough Building in Springdale.
