Eleanora Laura Furst, born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on October 5, 1925, was the daughter of William H. Furst and Stella Milkowski.

At the time of the 1930 Federal Census, Eleanora, 4, was the only child. By 1940, she had a brother, William, age 5.
