Sue Griffith, 43, single, is also found in the 1940 census living at the Wellesley Avenue address.

During World War II, Sue Gladys Griffith, R. N. (Licensed in Pennsylvania), born on October 23, 1898, was working at the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles, California as a Red Cross nurse. Her next of kin was her brother, George E. Griffith of Sykesville, Pennsylvania. She had also been to Hawaii during the war.

The Social Security Index indicates that she was actually born on October 23, 1896. She died in December 1972, last residence Sykesville, Jefferson, Pennsylvania.
