OBITUARY

RETIRED NURSE, 91 Elinor R. Hill Markford, 91, formerly of Yardley, a retired registered nurse, died Saturday in the nursing center of the Pine Run retirement community in Doylestown Township.

A native of Pittsburgh, where she was educated and graduated from the St. Francis Medical Center as a registered nurse, she worked at that hospital for several years. For many years before her retirement, she was a registered nurse at the Woods School in Middletown Township, Bucks County.

Mrs. Markford resided in Spring Hill, Fla., for several years and lived in Yardley for 12 years before she moved to Pine Run 10 years ago.

Also a homemaker, for many years she was the wife of John R. Markford, who died before her.

She is survived by children, Rosemary E. Rosenak, Maureen T. Branagan, Elizabeth A. Polansky, John J., and Duane J.; a sister; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. today at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 999 Reading Ave., Yardley. Burial will follow in Florida.
