IRMA KNIEDLER LUDWIG

At the time of the 1920 Federal Census of Carrick, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Irma Kniedler, 7, lived with her parents, Christ J. (John) Kniedler, born in Pennsylvania, and Barbara D. Kniedler, born in Germany. Irma's siblings, both younger, were Mildred and Norbert.

The mother, Barbara Dorothy Youngworth Kniedler, age 30, died of Typhoid Fever & Meningitis on April 10, 1920. By 1930, the father, "John," had remarried.

Irma married James L. Ludwig, a Pittsburgh Fireman.

The father, John "Christ" Kniedler, died in May 1952. That same year, Irma's husband had a leg amputated, and while he was hospitalized, her home caught fire.

James Lawrence Ludwig died on June 27, 1957.

Irma Kniedler Ludwig, born July 22, 1912, died of cancer on March 1, 1960, at age 47. She is buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
