MARSHALL, JULIA "JUDY" (KOST) - Age 85, of Adams Township on Saturday, January 19, 2013, formerly of Whitehall. Beloved wife of the late Louis F. Marshall; loving mother of Julie (Don) Graham, Louis (Kelly) Marshall and Matthew (Diana) Marshall; devoted grandmother of Donnie, Brandon and Cameron; sister of John and Basil; MANY nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her wonderful sister, Anna. Graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing as part of the Cadet Nurse Corps; then worked in pediatrics at St. Francis, delivering loving care to premature babies and later in life, worked at Kane Hospital in Scott, delivering equally loving care to her geriatric patients. The values, professionalism and work ethic that Judy learned from the nuns at St. Francis stayed with her all her life. Nursing brought her lifelong friendships with her "club" and service opportunities through the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and S.W. PA RN Club, serving as President from 1994-1996. A devoted member of St. Gabriel's Parish for over 50 years, she was active in Christian Mothers serving on committees and President in 1977. Volunteer lunch line duty in the St. Gabriel's cafeteria was full of laughter with her many friends. Judy loved the outdoors, summer vacations at Stone Harbor, gardening, cooking for her family and teaching her grandson, Donnie, how to cook. In retirement, she moved from her beloved Whitehall to be close to her children and grandchildren where she relished family meals and times together. She was very proud of her grandsons, Donnie, Brandon and Cameron who brought her great joy and comfort, Ringo, the family goldendoodle was always by her side. She will be missed by the many who knew and loved her deeply. Friends will be received at the JOHN F.
