According to a newspaper article that lists the graduates of the Class of 1928, this graduate was Mary Margaret Malloy.

Margaret Malloy, born about 1909, was the daughter of Daniel Francis Malloy, born in Pennsylvania, and Mary E. Noon, who emigrated from England in 1881. In the 1920 Federal Census, Margaret was 11, and her sister, Ruth M., was 10. They had two younger brothers, D.[Daniel] Francis, 7 and J.[John] Gerard, 6. By 1940, the father was deceased and the mother, Mary, still had the family home at Indiana Avenue, Monaca, Beaver County. Ruth M., a Public School Teacher, and Gerard, a Steel Mill Clerk, lived with her. Ruth died in 1954, John Gerard in 1990 and Daniel Francis in 1992.

FATHER'S OBITUARY: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, June 13, 1933 - MALLOY - At Monaca, Pa., on Tuesday, June 13, at 3:30 pm, Daniel F. Malloy, husband of Mary E. Noon Malloy and son of the late Patrick and Maria Malloy, in his 60th year.... Interment in St. Mary's cemetery, Pittsburgh.

From the list of Pennsylvania Registered Nurses, 1940-1941, published by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners:"Mary Malloy Puleo, 2820 White St., Pittsburgh."

Joseph Puleo, 43, a laborer in a steel mill, and his wife, Margaret, 32, a nurse at the Bureau of Child Welfare, are found in the 1940 Federal Census of Pittsburgh living on White Street with their son, John, age 10.

A divorce proceeding of Margaret Puleo against Joseph was published on April 20, 1950 in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The mother, Mary Noon Malloy, born in England, died August 10, 1952 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.

MOTHER'S OBITUARY - Beaver Valley Times, Aug 11, 1952 - MALLOY - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth, 73, widow of the late Daniel F. Malloy, 611 Indiana Avenue, Monaca, died in Providence Hospital, Beaver Falls, early Sunday morning, August 10, 1952. Mrs. Malloy was a member of St. John's R.C. Church, Monaca, and the following organizations and societies; St. John's Lyceum, Christian Mothers, the Altar Society, Third Order of St. Francis Catholic Daughters of America, Court of St. Rita, the I.C.B.A., the Ladies Auxiliary to Father James Reid Council Knights of Columbus and the Ladies Auxiliary of Providence Hospital. Surviving are two sons, J. Gerard P. Malloy, San Bernardino, Cal.; D. Francis Malloy, Arcadia, Cal.; two daughters, Margaret Puleo, Woodville, Pa., Miss Ruth M. Malloy, Monaca; four grandchildren; one brother, Thomas F. Noon, Wilkinsburg, and one sister, Mrs. Thomas Exler, Pittsburgh. Friends are being received in the Batchelor Funeral Home, Monaca, Solemn High Mass of Requiem will be sung in St. John's R.C. Church, Monaca, Wednesday, August 13, at 9 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

It is likely that Margaret's son, Corporal John Vincent Puleo, was the man killed in action during the Korean War. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 18, 1929. He was a member of Company H, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in Korea on October 6, 1952. Corporal Puleo was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. He is buried at the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California. (Joseph Puleo of 91 Washington Road was the father.)

Margaret's date of death is not known.
