He married (1) 26 Jan 1862 in Harrison Co., (W)Va., Nancy E. Carroll (div.); (2) 14 Oct 1868 in Harrison County, W.Va., Emily Jane Drain, daughter of Rosanna Drain.

     The children with Emily Jane Drain: Eliza, Louisa, Francis M., Martha B., General S., Viola, Earlin, William, Flossie, and Carma. [Please note that it is yet undetermined whether Eliza and Louisa are one and the same individual or are twins.]

     It appears that Isaac Drain and Nancy E. Carroll had the following children: Senora and Robert J.

     Isaac was severely wounded in action at Fort Gregg, Virginia, 2 Apr 1865 and was discharged at Fortress Monroe, Va., 16 Jun 1865, by order of War Dep't dated 3 May 1865.
