CALDWELL, George B. - First Lieutenant & Adjutant; Aug 25, 1862; -- . Mustered in from Corporal as 1st Lieutenant and Adjutant from the 100th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, vice Pierpont promoted; resigned January 8, 1865, having served three years continuously in the United States Service (original entry as private April 19, 1861). Engaged in attacks on Charleston, S. C. June 16, 1862, at Fort Royal Ferry, January 1862, Winchester, VA June 13th, 14th and 15thh, 1863. (Note; George B.
