George Orum was born in 1842 in Marshall Co, VA/WV. He served in the Civil War as a Corporal in Company A, 12th Reg WV Volunteer Infantry. He enlisted 16 Aug 1862 and was KILLED IN ACTION at Ft. Gregg, near Petersburg, VA, 2 Apr 1865. He was the s/o William Orum & Mary Dowler.
