FIRST GENERATION

1.  Israel Shook was born in 1832 in Washington Co, PA.  He served in the
military in Civil War, Co A 12th WV Inf.  Pvt Co A, 12th Reg WV Vol Inf, age
31, 16 AUG 1862 - 16 JUN 1865.
He was the s/o Henry & Jerusha Shook.

He was married to Rachel Flanagan (daughter of John Flanagan and Matilda) on
15 MAR 1857 in Marshall Co, VA.1  Rachel Flanagan was born in 1836 in Marshall
Co, VA.  She died before 1869.  

Israel Shook and Rachel Flanagan had the following children:

	2	i.	John H B Shook was born in 1858 in Marshall Co, VA.
	3	ii.	Robert Lancaster Shook was born in 1860 in Marshall Co, VA.

Israel Shook married Mary Keller 5 DEC 1867 in ohio County, WV. She was born in 1845 in VA.  

Israel Shook and Mary had the following children:

	4	i.	Joseph E Shook was born in 1869 in Marshall Co, WV.
	5	ii.	Ellen J Shook was born in APR 1870 in Marshall Co, WV.
