HENRY H. PARRY, Company "D"

      Henry Harrison Parry, was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. His parents, natives of Wales, were Roger L. and Elisabeth (Pugh) Parry. Two of Henry's brothers, Zachary Taylor Parry and William M. Parry, were veterans of the Civil War, the latter having served in Company D of the 12th Infantry and the Veteran Reserve Corps.
     In 1869, Henry Harrison Parry married Mary McVay. They lived and had a farm in Aleppo Twp., Greene County, Pa. Their children were Charles, Jane, Flora, James, Harry, and Mary.

     Henry H. Parry entered the service on 27 Feb 1864. He was 5' 3" tall and had blue eyes. He was born in 1845, the son of Roger L. and Elisibeth Parry. After the war, he moved to the township of Bristoria in Greene County, Pennsylvania. He married in 1869 and had 10 children.
