Obituary - Wife of Robert Knapp

KNAPP, Mary Virginia- Died 15 May 1916 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ruth at New Martinsville, WV, and will be buried on Thursday at Beeler's Station Church. Mrs. Knapp, whose maiden name was Crow, was born at Jacksonville, PA, 4 May 1838, and was united in marriage on 16 Nov 1854 to Robert Knapp. He died 5 Jan 1910. The following children survive: J. H. Knapp of West Finley, PA; M. C. Knapp of McMechen, WV; Mrs. Frank Earliwine of Grantsville, WV; Mrs. Johnson of Londonberry, OH; Mrs. Grim of Illinois; and Mrs. Ruth of New Martinsville, WV. A daughter died at Washington, PA last summer. Mrs. Knapp was a member of the Christian Church. Her husband, who was buried at Beelers Station six years ago, was born 1833 and was a member of the 12th West Virginia Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.
