FIRST GENERATION

1.  William L Roberts was born in 1833 in Marshall Co, VA.  He died 29 feb
1870.  He was buried in Roberts Rdg Meth Cem, Marshall Co, WV.  He served in
the military in Civil War, Co C 12th WV Inf.  Captain, Co C, 12th WV Vol Inf,
age 29, 23 AUG 1862 - 16 JUN 1865.  He served with his brothers, John A Roberts
& Jacob D Roberts.  He was the s/o John Roberts & Eunice Garlow.

(Lulu R Roberts who was born circa 1874 was born after the death of William;
she was not his child).

1890 Veterans census Meade Dist Marshall Co 
Roberts, Ada L, widow of William L Roberts, Captain, Co C 12th WV Inf. 
Enlisted 23 Aug 1862; discharged 16 Jun 1865.  Length of Service:  two years,
nine months, twenty-three days.  Address:  Glen Easton, WV.

He was married to Adda Koch on 4 FEB 1864 in Marshall Co, WV.1  Adda Koch was
born in 1843 in Marshall Co, VA.  d/o O T Koch  

William L Roberts and Adda Koch had the following children:

	2	i.	Mattie E Roberts was born 21 Feb 1865.
	3	ii.	Frank L Roberts was born in 18 Oct 1867.
	4	iii.	Maud F Roberts was born in 15 Jul 1870.

Adda Koch had the following child:
	5	iv.	Lulu R Roberts was born in 1874.
