David Truman's age was 34 at the time of the 1850 Federal Census of Richland Township, Belmont County, Ohio. He was born in Pennsylvania and was a Methodist Clergyman. That year, his wife was Lyda (Lydia) A., 33, and they had five children.

The wife of David Truman was Lydia Ann Kinsey, whom he married in Belmont County on November 3, 1836. Her parents were John G. & Mary (Balderston) Kinsey of Belmont County.

The children of David and Lydia were John K., Sarah M., Joseph Edgar, Wilbur, Mary, Susannah, Lydia, Alfred, and Amos.

By 1880, David Truman, 64, an M. P. Minister, and wife A. Lydia, 59, were residents of Wellsville, Columbiana County, Ohio. Living with them was son, K. John, 38.

The death of David Truman occurred 2 May 1886 at Bridgeport, Belmont County, Ohio. Lydia died 15 Aug 1909 at Blaine, Belmont County. They are interred at the Kinsey Family Cemetery.
