Jacob Whipkey was born 18 Apr 1842 in Pennsylvania, the son of David H. Whipkey, Jr. (s/o David H. Whipkey Sr. and Susannah Dull ) and Martha Rebecca Cramer. Jacob's siblings were Mary Malissa, Rachel Catherine, David Martin, Jacob, James Edward, Henry Moyers and Barney.
Jacob married Mary B. Earliwine, born Jul 1843, and their children were Mary Arabella, Almira, William F., Martin Van Buren, Barbara Ellen, Sarah C., Quintilla, Unleen T., Ollie, Minnie, Abraham Lot and Nina.
Mary B. (Earliwine) Whipkey died in Calhoun County, West Virginia in 1919. Jacob died 22 Jan 1933 in Calhoun County; both are buried in Nobe Cemetery in that county.
Abraham, son of Jacob and Mary, was born 19 Apr 1880. He married Daisy Bell Church. One daughter, Agnes Susie Whipkey, born 01 Jul 1907 in Calhoun County, married Everett Blaine Smith, the grandson of Civil War soldier, Martin Smith, of the 11th W.Va. Infantry. Everett was born 24 Jan 1898 in Smithville, Ritchie County, W.Va. and died 08 Jan 1962 in Smithville.
