     Jacob Kent married Mary Johnston 14 Nov 1861 and they were the parents of six children: Emma; Ida; Anna May (Mrs John Courtney); Elizabeth D. (Mrs. Thomas Householder); Franklin H; and Sadie (Mrs. Albion Theakston). Jacob and Mary are buried near Monessen, Fayette Co, Pa.

     Samuel Kent married Hester Ruth Williams 4 Oct 1860 and they were the parents of 10 children: William H. H.; Sarah Elizabeth (Mrs Charles Fields); Charles S; Jacob Oliver; John Albert; Mary E; Jesse Winfield; Van Ness; Elcie May; and Harvey. Samuel and Hester Ruth are buried in Long Branch, Washington Co, Pa.

     Samuel Kent belonged to the Harry Billingsley GAR Post #168, California, Washington County, PA. He is buried at the Howe Cemetery, Coal Center, Washington County, PA.
