William L. Cunningham
HENRIETTA, Texas - William L. "Bill" Cunningham, 71, died Sunday in a Wichita Falls nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hope Cemetery with Ken Konkling, minister of the Church of Christ in Henrietta officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mr. Cunningham was born July 28, 1924, in Wheeling, W.Va. He and Doris Aldrige were maried in 1944, in Nocona, Texas. She died in 1992. He had lived in Henrietta since 1981. He was a former steel mill worker and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Vowell, of Witchita Falls; four sisters, Hilda Donaldson of Fairview, W.Va., Wilda Archibald of Moundsville, W.Va., Betty Johnson of Saint Marys, W.Va., and Evelyn Emigh of Vandergift, Pa.; two brothers, Bob of Wheeling, W.Va., and Bud of Moundsville, W.Va.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
William married Doris Jean Aldridge in 1944. (Doris Jean Aldridge was born on 14 Jun 1928 and died on 8 Oct 1992.)
